Host Jeff Fisher
After anchoring and reporting on major sporting events from the Olympics to the World Series to the Super Bowl in a career spanning 30-years, Jeff is now focusing on media strategy and television show development for Blitz Group LLC. Jeff, an avid high school football fan, is also the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of High School Football America, and he’s co-executive producer of the PBS documentary “Primo Center” and several other television show pilots.
Before launching High School Football America, Fisher, an award-winning journalist, anchored at Fox Sports Net for the Chicago, Bay Area and Ohio regions. While in the Windy City, Fisher reported on all Chicago professional and college teams, plus served as a pre-, post and in-game host on Fox Sports Net's Emmy-award winning broadcasts for the Cubs and White Sox. Jeff also worked as a Co-host and pit reporter on several different motor sports programs on Speed Channel and The Outdoor Channel.
Before arriving in Chicago, Jeff was the Sports Director at WFMZ-TV in the Allentown/Philadelphia market. Fisher was the creator, executive producer and host of "The Big Ticket". The weekly, 60-minute high school football wrap-up show won him the Associated Press Best Sportscast in Pennsylvania Award in 2000. Fisher was also the creator and host of more than a dozen half-hour sports specials featuring international superstars such as Mario Andretti and Larry Holmes. Email Jeff

Levins wrestles without any feet and only one arm. During his just completed senior season, Levins, who wrestled at heavyweight, was 36-14. Also appearing on the show is Willie Saylor, editor of The Open Mat and Chris Cole, the boys' head basketball coach at Beren Academy in Houston, Texas. Cole's team gained national attention after the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) decided to not change the time of Beren Academy's Class 2A state semifinal game on Friday evening. The school doesn't play of the Sabbath and the original game-time of 9pm meant Beren had to forfeit. Shortly before this show aired, TAPPS agreed to change the start time.|

Nakashima talks about the trials-and-tribulations his girls face because the school doesn't have a gym of its own. One of the biggest hurdles is the walk/run the girls must make every day to get to a rec center about a mile away for practice. The journey takes them through gang-infested areas of East LA. Marshall joins Fisher during a chemotherapy treatment in Houston hospital as he battles leukemia. Marshall and his mom talked about Addison's two-and-a-half year battle with the disease and his successful return to the football field for the second half of his team's final game in November.

Show #307 This episode is looks at the upcoming football season for the Pius X High School. The tiny private school in Roseto, Pennsylvania is one of the smallest playing 11-man football in America. Aurora, Colorado’s Regis Jesuit High School’s Head Boy’s Basketball Coach Ken Shaw will be discussing this past season tonight. Coach Shaw finished his third seasons at Jesuit, with a career record of 72-9 at Regis Jesuit. Coach Shaw’s Raiders team has won back to back 5A State Championships in 2009 and 2010. Brian Richardson, Head Wrestling Coach at Rockford High School (Rockford, Michigan) just completed his first season as the head coach. Rockford has won their seventh straight conference title. Under Richardson’s direction, the Rams won their District and Region. They were the Michigan Division I State Runner Up at the Individual State Tournament. Richardson ended his inaugural year with a season record of 22-6.
Head Boy’s Basketball Coach at Christ School, located in Asheville, North Carolina, David Gaines will be our guest. Coach Gaines has led the Greenies to their fourth consecutive NC Independent School State Championship.
