For the past 40 years I have been an illustrator and a writer. Being creative is in my blood. As an artist, I have exhibited in The Smithsonian, worked for Warner Bros. and Disney and been able to travel the world with the Air Force creating works of art for the National Archives. As a mother and owner of many rescue animals, both past and present, she shares her knowledge and passion through story telling. She writes from both her own personal experiences and those she has learned from her animals. The themes focus on overcoming obstacles that everyone, human and animal, will face sometime in their life. Jaimi believes that by telling stories of hope and courage at an early age, it will inspire and encourage young readers to become more compassionate and understanding adults. The books are intended to be used as a tool to help parents and teachers begin a conversation about the themes, in a loving and accepting environment. She chose animals to tell the stories because they are compassionate, generous, and never judge. It is their unconditional love and kindness that connects with the human heart so deeply. Throughout her lifetime, Jaimi has seen how children learn to be more accepting, responsible, and understanding adults when growing up with pets. And it is her mission to teach these valuable lessons to as many reader’s as possible.

What makes an engineer drop everything and take an electric car to Panama?

We don’t know, but it became a book.

Randy Denmon

is a US Army veteran of the Gulf War.  He is also a partner in Denmon Engineering Inc. in Monroe, Louisiana. Randy’s first book, The Lawless Frontier, published by Kensington, was selected as a finalist for the Western Writers of America Spur Award and the Foreword Magazine Book of the Year Awards.  Denmon is a member of the Western Writers of America and the Writers League of Texas.  Prior to publication, his first book was a finalist for the annual National Writers Association’s unpublished novel contest and the Panhandle Professional Writer’s novel contest.  And then, he and a friend decided to slip quietly across the Rio Grande in south Texas in an attempt to do the unthinkable—drive a factory electric car across seven Third World countries to the “end of the road,” Panama City, Panama.  Without support and armed only with a toolbox, a bag of electrical adapters, and their wits, author Randy Denmon and his friend Dean trudge on through jungles, deserts, volcanoes, rivers, and crater-sized potholes, all the while trying to avoid the drug cartels and corrupt border guards that could mean a quick end to their adventure . . . and their lives. Through it all, the same enormous problem loomed daily: how to charge the car in such a primitive and desolate setting?  Despite the numerous setbacks, Randy never lost his sense of humor. Off the Grid is as much a spiritual journey as a physical one about two guys who dropped everything for one grand, twenty-first-century adventure—traveling back in time in a car that seemed to come from the future.

is a professional animal communicator (aka pet psychic). She discovered this ability unexpectedly and despite her own skepticism, when she was able to perform after being only briefly coached in the process.

For several years after that, Crystal just used her novice skills with her own animals and as a hobbyist, doing free readings for friends of friends, until she was challenged by a grad school classmate to answer this question: What would you dare to do if you knew you couldn’t fail? The answer that came out of her mouth before she could even think was I’d become an animal communicator! So she got serious about training and building her skills and eventually made the leap to professional practice.

Today she helps animal and human clients all over North America. She works remotely, through photographs, and her style is akin to pet therapy due to her background in counseling psychology. While she gets great satisfaction from helping families resolve their pet-related issues, her greatest joy comes from seeing the positive shift in clients’ understanding of the profound nature of animals after working together.

Ruth Magnusson Davis

is founder and editor of the New Matthew Bible Project, which is dedicated to minimally updating and restoring the 1537 Matthew Bible. The Matthew Bible is a little known but very important bible which was the joint work of three English Reformation heroes: William Tyndale, Myles Coverdale, and John Rogers. Few people realize that the Matthew Bible formed the basis of the King James Bible, which is actually a revision. Ruth’s goal is not to make a modern bible, but as much as possible to keep the historic language of the faith, which people will recognize from the King James version. The new bible will be called the NMB, short for ‘New Matthew Bible.’ Ruth is a retired lawyer with an undergraduate degree in French and German, and a scholar of early modern English, the writings of William Tyndale, and the Matthew Bible. She loves history, grammar, and God’s word. Several of her articles on William Tyndale, and in particular his word use in the bible, have been published in the Tyndale Society Journal. She has also published in Bible Editions and Versions, a publication of the International Society of Bible Collectors. She resides in Canada, and calls herself a Reformation Anglican. In 2009, after 28 years as a successful lawyer, Ruth retired in order to undertake the NMB Project. Toward the end of 2015 she completed the New Testament. Then she began work on the interior layout and attending to all the details of publishing. She decided on the name "The October Testament," and in March 2016 the hardcover became available for sale, and was immediately well received. One month later the paperback was ready for sale also.  The October Testament contains William Tyndale’s scriptures and the Reformation notes and commentaries of John Rogers. Ruth's fine editorial hand is almost unnoticeable. Tyndale continues to shine through, and Rogers' style in his notes is distinctly his. Readers comment repeatedly on the flow and clarity of scriptures and the beauty of the original style, which Ruth, with her delicate touch, has masterfully retained.

Mary Wingo was born in the United States where she earned a Ph.D. in human stress research from The University of North Texas. in 2014, She emigrated to Ecuador, a tiny country in South America. Living in a new and very different society opened her eyes to the unsustainable social, economic, and political costs preventable stress causes in the modern world. Dr. Wingo's aim is to clearly explain to the public the biological mechanisms behind the stress response, as well as its staggering costs to society.

She also presents effective science-based stress-management solutions that any person in any community can employ. The result was The Impact of the Human Stress Response: The biological origins, causes and solutions to human stress– a unique fusion of science, economics, and sociology culminating from 20 years of research and social insight.

More from Dr. Wingo:

My specialty is physiology, and specifically, the human physiological stress response. One thing that seems to escape many analysts and political leaders is the staggering costs of stress in modern society within the psychological, social, political, and economic sectors. In my analysis, preventable human stress leads to (many, many) millions of unnecessary death every year. Furthermore, the economic costs of chemical, physical, and psychological human stress world-wide are well into the multiple trillions of dollars of losses every year.

With a disciplined approach in his study of horse anatomy, Tony puts a great emphasis on technical execution. As with much of his work the void of background & simplicity of the pieces serve to highlight the natural physical perfection of these animals. The horse & the beauty of its majestic form & spirit are the basis of his canvas. The result of his inimitable combination of an innate aptitude for draughtsmanship & his lifelong passion for horses is a body of beautifully evocative paintings that capture the unique power, grace & nobility of the equine form. Anyone who appreciates classical elegance cannot but be drawn in.

Tony's love of horses stems from his childhood, some of his earliest memories are those of his grand-uncle Mossie working in his dark smoke-filled forge, shoeing local horses & ponies. Influenced by the Renaissance Masters, he takes his style of drawing from the Silverpoint pieces of Da Vinci & drawings of Michelangelo - elements of both can be seen in his drawings & portraits of horses. His work now forms part of many private & corporate collections worldwide. Additionally, Tony has hosted several Master Class Workshops & has embarked on an exciting new venture as Resident Artist at the Equine Art Retreat in Oklahoma, America.

Ellie’s parents did not want a house full of animals and her friends teased her for loving animals so much. Noticing that her community didn’t cherish animals the way she did, she vowed that when she grew up she would have a huge place full of animals and she would show people how beautiful they are. In 1999 Ellie founded her dream, The Gentle Barn Foundation, home to severely abused and neglected animals that no one else wants. She came up with a special healing process that allows old, sick, injured and terrified animals to recover using a mixture of Western medicine and holistic healing modalities as well as nutritional products, holding therapy and lots of love

Once healed and happy, the animals help Ellie heal at risk, inner city and special needs children who have the same stories of abuse and neglect as the animals. Through the interaction with the animals and the stories of the animals, the children learn kindness, compassion, confidence, and find themselves in the presence of other living beings.

Ellie has saved thousands of animals to date. The Gentle Barn is home to a total of 175 animals, both at the original Santa Clarita, California and the newest location in Knoxville, Tennessee. Ellie lives on the property with her husband and their 3 children. Her husband Jay Weiner works at The Gentle Barn with her and together they get to see miracles every day. is a decorated USAF Desert Storm Era Veteran, with a 20+year career in Project/Operations Management in Logistics, Telecom, Legal/Law Enforcement, Health Care, and Renewable Energy Development in both government and private sectors. She was born and raised in Southern California when Earth Day and Zero Population Growth (ZPG) were a big part of school programs, and like many, considered herself an environmentalist and animal lover. However, she did not begin to make the vegan connection to be consistent with both values until 1996. Over the course of her experience with multiple social justice movements she saw gaps in the vegan animal rights movement’s strategies and decided to apply her professional knowledge and expertise and two decades of seasoned vegan advocacy to develop and launch a new non-profit organization in 2014, .

Eriyah believes that empowering a rapid, world vegan shift is the best answer humanity can do to solving our most pressing social injustices and correcting our present path to global mass extinction. Eriyah lives in a suburb of Columbus and has been an Ohio resident since 1998. In addition to Vegan Shift, she co-organizes for the Columbus Vegan meet-up, and writes a standing column in the Columbus Free Press called Socially Just Dining, which is designed to help people find vegan eats in the greater Columbus metropolitan area.

Verbal Aikido is essentially shifting someone's energy of negativity and rejection of veganism and what they think it is, and redirecting and inspiring them into seriously considering and/or pursuing the idea. It is learning subtle yet important nuances in language and relational skills to compel people towards our ideas while using unequivocal vegan messaging and remembering that love and empowerment attracts, and the rage and judgment repels in our methodologies.

John Finch

grew up the youngest of 3 boys in a suburb of Dallas where he lost his father to suicide at age 11. As a young man, John did anything he could to avoid confronting the wounds he suffered as a result of being fatherless. His craving for affirmation from a father who was not there to provide it, led him to seek that affirmation from the world in many unhealthy ways. In an attempt to find value as a man, he created a false persona that left him completely unfulfilled. His life was based on the pursuit of money in order to prove his success and he became a social alcoholic as he strived to be the life of every party and gain the attention of those around him.

It was only when John realized and dealt with the unresolved issues of his father wound that he was able to become truly fulfilled. On April 10th, 2009, he finally came face to face with the issues that drove him to seek approval from a father who was not there to give it to him. By forgiving his father and recognizing what it truly means to be a man by God’s standard, he became a new man, husband and father.

John seeks to break down the barriers that prevent men and women from addressing deep rooted anger and hurt from the wounds they have suffered in this life by candidly and openly sharing his story, his failings, and his path to a new way of life. John’s mission is to educate, encourage and equip men to become the fathers they were created to be, and to help men walk in daily awareness of their significant and lifelong influence as fathers. Through The Father Effect Movie, John shares stories and messages that will move viewers to a new awareness about the everlasting impact of fathers and the importance of forgiveness and openness in the relationships of this world.

John has been married for 21 years and has three beautiful daughters. He is incredibly thankful for the second chance to be a father and husband who can offer himself to those he loves without the burden of the bitterness and anger that overshadowed his life for so many years.

John Paul Carinci

Insurance executive and native Islander, John Paul Carinci has written his 8th book, to be published in early 2015 by Morgan James Publishing. The novel, entitled "Defying Death In Hagerstown" was inspired by an actual diary from 1923.
The idea for this fiction book happened by accident, when John won a diary from EBay, which was penned in 1923, by a young woman from Hagerstown Md. AMAZON LINK:
The 90 year old diary of 365 pages, was fully handwritten by a woman known only as Lolita. I knew there was a story there somewhere, but more importantly I was drawn into the time, the young woman, the love interest she had throughout the year, Carinci says.
I was CONSUMED with finding out who and whatever happened to this Lolita from Hagerstown Md. It took years to find out who she was, that she married the love interest, and when she passed on. SO, I wrote a novel, based on a character from Hagerstown, named Lolita, he added.
The story revolves around a young newspaper reporter, who is rapidly self- destructing, after a bad breakup with his fiancée, and who has a drinking problem, is a real mess at work, and is ready to be fired.
His last chance assignment is to go to Hagerstown, Md. and interview a centenarian wonder woman of 110 years old, named Lolita, who resides in a nursing home. The reporter later uncovers the diary from 1923, and that Lolita, in 1923, lived through a mass murder spree of 3 of her young girlfriends in Hagerstown that still was unsolved. The reporter sees a real story in the murders, and is consumed with investigating and solving this 90 year old mystery. But someone in Hagerstown is rattled by his nosing around, and bullets fly, and someone is killed.

Janet Kleinman makes her home in South County Florida. She is a wife, mother and grandmother who wrote collateral materials for Fortune 500 companies like SmithKline& French, Merck, the Shriners and the American Red Cross, etc. After her children graduated college, she returned to teaching language arts to middle school students.

But Janet always wanted to write a novel, and joined several writer study groups to sharpen her writing talent. A dozen short stories followed. After winning an award for A FIRST BOYFRIEND from Writer’s Digest, she was motivated to write a novel, Now she had a universal plot (renewed love between a man and woman – a modern version).

The earthquake in Haiti four years ago changed the plot from a coming of age love story to a thrilling romance that takes us from Florida to Haiti and Washington D.C. The author visualized a scenario where a widow, an ex-boyfriend, a Haitian ex-pat and a U.S. senator become involved with each other while helping Haiti rise up from the ashes.

The author has reconnected with a first boyfriend, who has since died, met a U.S. senator, but has never been to Haiti. Yet all three elements were combined into a romantic novel that starts in Florida, moves to Haiti and ends on a happy note in Washington D.C.

In September of 2013, she was awarded a lifetime achievement award from the Brooklyn College Alumni Association that was probably influenced by the publication of FLIRTING WITH DISASTER. FLIRTING WITH DISASTER is now on the permanent shelf of Palm Beach Florida Writers’ books.
